At last, we have arrived at our final decklist for the Blessings of Asia campaign, this one for our Mystic fighter Lily Chen. I’m quite excited to play this deck as while it is a repeat of a deck idea I’ve played before, Rabbit Hole Lily, it has a few notable new tools in it which I think will make it feel quite different. Let’s take a look at what we got here.

The Concept
So, this is a Rabbit Hole Lily deck. At first, you might think, “Why would you do that? Lily doesn’t have good upgrade options for Rabbit Hole!” You might also think, “The XP discounts don’t contribute to getting Disciplines faster, so what’s the point of doing this anyway?” A-ha, well, this investigator may just surprise you with how effective Rabbit Hole can be for her.
First of all, we have Holy Rosary, which upgrades from Mystic into Guardian at level 2. We also have Enchanted Blade, which doesn’t take up a level 0 Guardian card slot at the start of the campaign thanks to being multiclass. This upgrades to Guardian as well. Finally, we can’t forget about our Neutral cards. Emergency Cache at level 0 is usually not considered very good, but I’d say the level 2 version feels quite nice to play. Then there’s Overpower, which starts Neutral and upgrades to Guardian – great for card draw! So far, so good.
Now we definitely want more opportunities to spend our XP than just that. Remembering that we want to make use of our Bless tokens, we are going to want a card that does this which has both a level 0 version and a high XP version. Enter Blessed Blade level 4! This card is outrageously strong just in general, and it will even better on a team which seems set to print Bless token easily. Between Blessed Blade 4 and Enchanted Blade 3, Lily will turn into quite the swordmaster with XP. And don’t forget that Rabbit Hole lets her buy both of those weapons at an XP discount.
Finally, our big XP spending opportunity is Hunter’s Armor. This card basically guarantees our Rabbit Hole will never be totally useless. I’m not fully sure how much XP I intend to commit to this, but I do really like soak and some of the upgrades, such as the potential card draw and the damage dealing ones, look very good to me.
We are taking Olive McBride as our level 0 ally and committing to her for the long haul. Olive does help us pass skill tests in general, but she especially will help us find Bless tokens or the Elder Sign. This can help us get a bit more use out of her Blessed Blade at level 0, as well as making our Ward of Radiance more likely to go off. Beyond that having a way to protect ourselves from the autofail is always nice, especially on big swings like Spectral Razor.
Explosive Ward is here because we only have one arcane slot card with Enchanted Blade, and we’re also willing to dump it if we need to. Guaranteed damage is always valuable, so I think it’s worth bringing along. Drawn to the Flame is there just so Lily can help get some clues – you never know when your fighter being able to help that way can make a big difference.
I’m not sure why I have level 0 Blood Pact here. I think I had this vision of it being useful and I wanted to try it out. Will it be helpful? I’m not sure, but I think during those particular times when doom isn’t relevant, it could make a big difference. And then I have a single Purified just because I wanted an additional Bless card for the challenge. I’m not sure how useful this one will be either, but I think Lily can potentially test huge values, so I wanted to test this one and see how it feels.
Summary
This version of Rabbit Hole Lily is set to use our big swords and some reliable level 0 Spells to smack our enemies to death. Outside of that, we have extra encounter deck protection in the form of cancels and soak. Altogether, this Lily should be a hardy and adept fighter, and the XP discounts will help her earn big cards fast. With that done, our whole team is ready to embark on our adventure through The Scarlet Keys and head towards Asia. Stay tuned for my future campaign breakdowns where I share how the campaign is progressing and thank you for following along with my write ups so far!
