According to a report out of your local gaming store, a new Arkham Horror: The Card Game player named Daniel Jordan believes that Rogues have good Willpower after seeing only the previous 3 cycles of investigators.
“I heard online that Rogues are bad at Willpower,” Daniel said, “but I don’t know where that’s coming from. I’ve seen Kymani, Alessandra and Michael. That’s all the Rogues from the three cycles in this new Current thing I keep hearing about, and all three of them seem perfectly fine with their Willpower to me.”
“As far as I know, they consistently have what passes for Mystic levels of Willpower,” he said, while holding up Amina Zidane’s investigator card.
“I’m sure there are Rogues in the Core Set or the Starter packs as well, but I’m already really bought in to this narrative I made up. I’m fine with not receiving any more information for now. Woo, I can’t wait to play the game and easily pass every treachery with the Rogue investigator of my choice!”
Daniel went on to say that he also had doubts about some of the other classes when it came to Willpower. “After seeing investigators like Carson, Lucius, George, and Darrell, I’m kind of put off from exploring most other classes. These classes are just a little lacking when it comes to Willpower by comparison. I think I’ll stay in Rogue where everyone consistently has 3 Willpower as far as I know. I don’t want to get destroyed by the encounter deck after all!”
A nearby experienced player then strongly advised Daniel to see Rogues from older cycles before jumping to conclusions to which Daniel replied, “Older cycles like Dunwich and Carcosa? Sure, I guess you’ve persuaded me to give those a look.”
At press time, Daniel was happily constructing a Willpower stacking Sefina deck while Daniel’s teammates were struggling to explain to him what the term “sample size” means.
