New investigative reporting exclusive to Rite of Seeking has uncovered the shocking bombshell story that Fantasy Flight Games is firmly in the pocket of Big Damage. In fact, they have been manipulating the card pool via the so-called “Current Environment” solely to sell more Azure Flames to Mystic players, leading to more damage dealt to not just enemies but also investigators.
Previously, investigators had access to numerous Arcane damage slot spells including Brand of Cthugha, Armageddon, and upgraded Shrivellings. Spells like these caused damage to go only one direction: towards enemies. Meanwhile, Azure Flame went largely unused, causing Big Damage’s stock prices to plummet. However, the new Current Environment will see Azure Flame being played much more by virtue of all the other options mysteriously disappearing, meaning damage will now be dealt to low-Health Mystic investigators yet again, all according to Big Damage’s nefarious schemes.
“Here at Big Damage, we care not for petty distinctions such as ally or enemy,” said Ann Jurees, President of Big Damage. “Our purpose is to ensure as much damage as possible flows every direction it can. We especially love damage that brings entities closer to death, and that’s why we love selling Azure Flames to low health Mystics.”
“Every time a 5 health Mystic loses 20% of their health pool because they tried to fight a Ghoul Minion with Azure Flame, I earn my quarterly bonus,” added Ann Jurees.
“And the best part of all is that Azure Flame’s condition is more likely to happen on an Easy chaos bag, as there are more 0 and +1 tokens! You see, it was all planned from the beginning. Current Environment exists to help new players, yes, but that’s only half of the sentence.”
Jurees then dramatically pulled down a curtain that was draped over a sign. The sign said, “Current Enviornment exists to help new players take more damage from Azure Flame.” Our reporters do not know how or why this sign exists but Ann Jurees was seen cackling maniacally next to it.
Ann Jurees then wheeled in a cart that was full of Azure Flame level 5 cards. “Once we get investigators to get these beauties out of their binders and start actually playing them, the damage will flow as it should once again. And before you say what about level 1 Eldritch Inspiration, do not worry. The truth is… Big Damage gets kickbacks from sales of Eldritch Inspiration 1 as well! Mwahahaha!!”
“Shrivelling 5 has fallen! The Age of Azure Flame 5 is now!” At this proclamation, the earth then shook beneath our reporting team, and all reporters took 1 damage.
At press time, Big Damage was preparing a print run of propaganda pamphlets telling Legacy players that Storm of Spirits 3 combos great with Dark Prophecy.
Maybe you meant 40% (2 damage out of 5)?
