New local reporting has revealed that local investigator Jeremy Dixon has decided to put a pause on spending all his money on Arkham Horror: The Card Game so he can instead spend all of his money on the Arkham Horror 2E remaster crowdfunder. Wow! He can’t afford either of those.
The crowdfunder, which at the time of writing has amassed over $5.6 million and is in its third day of overtime, has been wildly successful, and part of that success has come from Jeremy Dixon stupidly spending all his money on bullshit he can’t afford yet again.
“You can pay in installments though, so it’s better,” Jeremy said about his $700 CAD pledge which is about as much as his rent. Incredible!
Jeremy has made extensive plans for what to do with his game once it arrives, which includes putting it on a shelf where he can look at it and thinking about making a friend who will play the game with him someday.
“You can play it solo though, which is nice,” Jeremy said, overlooking the fact he does not even own a table big enough to fit the game board. Currently, Jeremy plans to simulate having friends by controlling all the investigators at the same time, which he already does when playing the card game in a back corner of his kitchen.
When asked what would happen when the crowdfunder ended, Jeremy had this to say: “I will probably just go back to spending all my money on the card game.” So unless someone else has something shiny and expensive to wave in front of Jeremy’s face between now and the release of Power of the Dreamlands, then we can expect to see that trend continuing.
Rite of Seeking would like to thank Jeremy Dixon for providing the reporting for this article.
