The lack of new investigators in the next deckbuilding expansion, Power of the Dreamlands, has been a little bit of a downer. However, using the power of your mind, there is a fun and creative solution that long-time players will love. You can enjoy the thrill of playing new investigators in early 2027 by simply remembering some of the older ones that you have already forgotten about.
If you haven’t forgotten any of the old investigators, not to worry – you can start doing so now. Some investigators that are great to start trying to forget immediately are Rex Murphy, Mandy Thompson, and Amanda Sharpe. Forgetting any of these investigators and remembering them during early 2027 will give you a powerful, all-new Seeker to play with. If you want to add a powerful fighter who synergizes with Tactics, try forgetting Mark Harrigan. And if playing with magical spells is more your thing, you have already forgotten about Amina Zidane, so you are well on your way to adding a Mystic who certainly exists and could be played to your collection.
A good way to ensure that you remember these investigators in time for the release of Power of the Dreamlands is to take the names of the investigators you have forgotten and write them down on an index card. Then put that index card inside an envelope and mark it prominently, so that you will clearly remember that you have forgotten it. Then, leave yourself an enigmatic message somewhere to open the envelope at the time the expansion releases. Important! Make sure the message is not too complicated or confusing, as you may risk forgetting about opening the envelope. Then when the times comes, you will be able to open your special envelope and remind yourself of the fun investigators who exist in the game. To make things even better, you already own them, saving you money! This means incredible value for you the player and represents a savings of 100%. Thanks, FFG!
Lacking campaign content for your brand new investigators? Not to worry! You can repeat this process for campaigns. Take your all-new investigators and play them in another campaign that you have forgotten about — maybe even The Forgotten Age! Wouldn’t that be fun and thematic? So, why worry when you can save yourself money through the power of amnesia, and discover worlds of new content to enjoy*!
Power of the Dreamlands will be available in early 2027.
*assuming you already own the content
